Drawing on more than two decades of experience as a commercial leader, Nadia Al-Aydi is a senior brand manager at Votrient US, where she is responsible for leading the Soft Tissue Sarcoma and Oncology Renal Cell Carcinoma brand teams. Alongside this, Nadia Al-Aydi supports professional and philanthropic organizations such as Amnesty International, among others. The nonprofit recently responded to the arrest of Osman Kavalai in Turkey immediately after a court had ordered his release on unrelated charges. Amnesty International claims that both arrests of Mr. Kavalai are part of an overall crackdown on dissenting voices within the country, with Milena Buyum, the organization's Turkey campaigner, saying that the move was a slap in the face. Alongside this, Ms. Buyum called for the immediate release of Mr. Kavalai while asking for the government to cease its crackdown on protesters and other dissenting voices. Amnesty International has also said that it will continue to fight on his behalf until he is released from prison.
